Cannot stand when Netflix removes a Netflix original… if it’s not going to be streaming anywhere than it should be on YouTube for free

Yeah, apparently the 5 year contract is up— hopefully they renew it or move it to another platform

if i had to take a guess… The content is either licensed to Netflix or the rights to the content are bought by Netflix. meaning if the license expires, the show is removed. i would also assume that as streaming services are trying to define their role/style of content hosted, the want their licenses back from Netflix who previously had them. Originally, Netflix had everything because there was no alternative (not including the purchase of a physical copy or the now dead “Blockbuster”)

Really hoping max or Hulu bought it, that’s what usually happens to Netflix originals, like Daredevil and a bunch of other 2010s marvel series, they were taken by Hulu I think

the show’s network WB has their own streamer in HBO Max so that’s a likely outcome. however other CW shows have ended up on Hulu w a new contract so who’s to say. supernatural is too popular to leave it off streaming for long, they’d be putting money on the table.
