Right before that it has a quote from MLK saying the opposite. In my personal opinion, this movie is great because it leaves it up to the viewer to decide who’s in the wrong and who “did the right thing”. It also ends on both mookie and Sal talking peacefully and a white/latin guy playing basketball with a black guy, showing how people were brought together
