jessica drew is an asshole, miguel is an asshole and a real fucking idiot. he calls miles the original anomaly, acts like miles himself at like 13 was doing collider experiments to get a spider from another dimension to get spiderman powers. miguel has access to everyone in itsv who could corroborate that it was kingpin and alchemax doing all that, and miles was an innocent and upstanding bystander implicated.
dumbass miguel spends all his time focusing on miles meanwhile he knew spot was a gigantic problem before miles got involved and that he becoming a worse problem. to a certain point i have to think it goes beyond character flaw and more into bad writing for miguel to be imprisoning miles and saying his dad has to die when the easier option was saying "hey we gotta just grab spot together and your dad wont die" (but his dad would eventually die probably). unless ive misread the situation and...
its not bad writing but instead is a gigantic fucking deliberate character flaw if miguel is intentionally letting spot get stronger and stronger specifically so that miles's dad dies for the canon event. like the character flaw would be hilarious. miguel being dumb enough thinking that an anomaly (miles) needs to have his canon event done by an anomaly to prevent an anomaly that destroys miles's universe, but at the same time spot will kill many spider people and cause tons of anomalies everywh
miguel trying to neutralize an anomaly (miles) by using an anomaly (spot) to cause an anomalous canon event (miles's dad dying) at the expense of causing tons of anomalies elsewhere (other spider people dead fighting spot) and then getting the spider society to just be outright assholes to miles to achieve this goal.
