M. Night Shymalan casted white actors for characters that were from fantasy Tibetan and fantasy Inuit societies. I feel like the one person who hates that castings and a black actor in fantasy Scandinavia.

this is true, my point was more so to show that the bmw example isn’t analogous also, while the scandinavians weren’t writing about people from africa, people from africa did write some accounts of them. there is also (albeit limited) evidence that scandinavians traveled to north africa or at least came into contact with people from africa through the mediterranean trade by no means in httyd meant to be 100% historically accurate, it’s a kid’s movie for god’s sake
