i think most people who only watch light hearted movies probably use movies as a source of entertainment. there are other ways to appreciate culture and its other art out there to expand someone’s mind, not just films. which is why i think people need to stop judging people for only watching one medium (as someone who watches any and everything)

if they are consuming other meaningful art, i have no issue with it, but i really feel like that's not the case with most people. i’d say 2/3rds of people i’m surrounded by look for just entertainment

well thats who you tend to end up being surrounded by but where i tend to end up most people that are watching films for entertainment seek culture through history, books, art, music and food. so i guess its just different crowd

mann, i know so many cities that has nothing but people who are willing to stay ignorant and just watch brainrot all day. so i totally get it
