They’re both twist villains in different senses

This is what’s really cool about them to me as someone who works in the entertainment industry, you have Humpty who is a villain in a very physical, materialistic, tangible sense. His motives when you boil it down are mainly superficial: money, fame, revenge, etc. Death, represents the other side of the coin. He represents something emotional, moral, supernatural. He’s a threat that you physically can’t stop and his motives are not bound by our worldly ideals.
