og!! ive seen the 03 remake and tcsm2 but the original is better in terms of horror. the other ones feel kind of goofy imo

ive always loved how its so uncomfortable but it also retains this silliness that actually feeds into the horror. “look what your brother did to the damn door!” is a really funny line but it also shows how bizarre the family is that drayton cares more about the house than the screaming woman they’re dragging into it. not to mention that it’s a commentary on family dynamics and not purely a gory slasher flick
