yeah it received a ton of backlash 30 years ago. yes it was more tolerated, but it was also a time that minorities voices were taken less seriously. the way quentin tarantino did it was gratuitous, and defending that pedo in 2026 is bat shit insane. why else mention that it came out 30 years ago in response to a criticism of it?
