it’s ok not liking the movie, but it’s petty to outright say you wouldn’t recommend it. clearly enough people love it that you should encourage people to check it out. by telling people not to watch it, you’re robbing an important cinematic experience.
the idea of avoiding a film because someone recommended you skip it is so ridiculous to me. you simply never know 100% what films you’ll like and which ones you won’t. everything is worth a chance imo.

i agree, even the really horrid ones. i even took it upon myself to waste hours of my time watching war of the worlds and honey dont. they weren’t the best films but i don’t regret watching them, you can learn from any film

yeah, it’s definitely not a waste of time! it’s important to watch “bad” movies on a basis to understand why they don’t work, especially if you want to be a filmmaker.
