Supergirl gettin way to much hate it genuinely amazes me. People just like finding stuff to whine about😭 I watched it and enjoyed it not the best superhero movie I’ve ever seen but certainly not what everyone makes it. Both lead actresses were amazing

* the actresses being Milly and the young new actress Eve… seen way to much complaint about them, I thought they were amazing in the movie especially it being the first movie for them both. Tired of always seeing the same major actors in stuff

My hate for the movie comes from how bad of an adaptation it is, live action superhero films aren’t usually direct adaptations of comics, they only lift certain characters or storylines, but this movie is literally just Woman of Tomorrow, which is such a beautiful comic that made cry the first time I read it and this movie just feels like a half assed attempt at expanding the DCU. Wish the visuals or the relationships between the characters were better but instead we’re left with its a poor copy

I don’t think its the actors cuz thankfully I’ve seen them get the praise they deserved. It just seemed like the writing was off a lot of plot holes and inconsistencies made the movie feel a lot longer than it had to be with no real thematic meaning to do so

Yes I’ve seen praise too which is ofc good. Especially considering the fact the actual actors play such a small role in how movies turn out to be and they still get most of the backlash. However, I have still seen a lot of hate on Milly and coming from a man a lot of it seems to be a bunch of sorry ass men trying to make themselves feel better. which is just unfortunate 😂 I do agree though i hope they js work on the writing and it doesn’t deter them from another solo supergirl

Everyone’s going to have a complaint about something. Sometimes it makes sense sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes it’s not even their fault just the script they’re given. Actors did fine and they move on with their lives
