they spend the entire time running away from galactus only to barely defeat him. a lore accurate galactus would have shit stomped them. the movie was 90% dialogue.

don’t get me wrong i didn’t hate it but the superman movie was just overall a better movie

another issue with the movie is the only character that could hold up really in any of the fights was susan storm and even she barely could. it just wasn’t an enjoyable experience for this to be the first movie of new the fantastic four franchise

The fantastic 4 has always been more about space exploration and family than fighting. Obviously fighting is part of it but even then they defeat galactis with brains because, as you said, they would never beat him with just brawn.

I must say I didn’t know very much about the fantastic 4 prior to seeing the movie so i’m glad you explained that. In retrospect, I think my expectations for the film were what set my opinion of the film initially. Now having spent some more time thinking about the movie, it was pretty good. I still enjoyed watching superman more (not saying that’s what makes it a better movie but ykwim).

Yeah same they were definitely both around the same for me but i do think f4 was just a little bit better because of the depth of characters
