I mean John Hughes use to based all these huge movies in the Chicago suburbs. So that helped a lot!
I would not say that Chicago isn’t a major city. We are still in the top 4. But it’s just cheaper to make movies in other states now.

Yeah like I said it’s just cheaper in other states to make media, for example marvel makes their movies in Georgia now. but there’s still a really big art scene in Chicago it’s just New York and La are flashier.
