Just bc the movie is sooo damn good just with the characters and their back story and the plot. Like, the vampires couldve also just been racists alone and the plot wouldve been good too. It works perfectly fine but I don’t think the vampires are like really a necessary idea

Symbolic, yes, but the way the movie plays out once they show up is still basically a standard horror movie
