I have my problems with Shawn Levy, but to my knowledge, the hot garbage that was ST season 5 was not his fault. No amount of directing, acting, or ANYTHING was going to fix that awful script. That’s the Duffers’ fault all the way

When I said he’s one of the best directors, I meant FILMMAKER. 98% of the time, filmmakers make bad television and television directors/writers make bad movies. Stranger Things season 5 was like a 6/10 season, but even then, Shawn Levy directed the absolute masterpiece of media that is the Running Up That Hill episode of Stranger Things. God tier stuff. He also happens to make really great and entertaining movies for the most part. Real Steel and Date Night are also underrated bangers.
