Did anyone see the show? While he was being interviewed and making people uncomfortable the agents mentioned how he won’t fit in due to his program to never change. That’s why he was study, scraped, and later founded by a neo nazi. He doesn’t have a messed up view because he doesn’t want to constantly fight he does this because it’s in his program his purpose. In the end he just wants to have a drink with his boys. Cheers to the tin man.

He’s an obvious allegory for post-war vets. Programmed to kill, then disposed of after, and then preyed upon groups who capitalize on their dissatisfaction and disillusionment. The gleeful bloodlust for Nazis is just good natured fun, and the people who are upset about that are likely Nazis.

To be fair I found out about this watching a video talking about how the comic book community is impossible to convert to fascist ideology because it’s never been a friendly or tolerant place for fascists.
