I have a quick question have any other people who are mezzo sopranos only ever been casted as men?

Are you a mezzo or a female tenor?/gen we’ve never had mezzo’s cast as men bc the timbre is different, but female tenors and contraltos we do have those playing both so I’m curious if that’s the case for you?

If I may ask what men have you played (that were like chosen for you) and have you told them you don’t want to play the guy parts? but I can totally understand that lol

I’m currently having early morning brain fog lol but 2 roles that come to my head immediately is when I played Willy Wonka and a role I’m currently playing jukes and I haven’t told them I don’t want to play men because I’m truly greatful to just be apart of any production I just find it funny I keep getting men

The Pirates are the funniest thing ever I think jukes might actually be my favorite role. I’ve played.
