I don’t feel like this should be a hot take but I think it is, 2013 Lebron>>>2018 Lebron. 2018 is the most fleshed out offensive version of Lebron, but he was a far better athlete in 2013, and a legit top 5 defender while 2018 Lebron was mid at best there

Disagree. I don’t think Lebron was mid on defense until his Lakers days and that fully polished offensive player he was made him the most consistent that he’s ever been. Every single playoff game was goat level performance one after another. I think 2018 Bron on that 2013 team probably beats the Spurs in 5-6 games

Maybe it was less that he was a bad defender, and more that his age and the offensive burden he had to endure meant he had to pick his spots a lot more to be an impact defender. He still has the highlight chase down blocks, but he was a noticeably worse defender than 2013 when he should’ve been DPOY. I agree that 2018 was the most unstoppable 1 man army version of Lebron, but I disagree that 2018 lebron would’ve been better on that 2013 team where he didn’t have to be a 1 man army.
