Fraudulent???? Embiid led the league in scoring and actually played decent defense that year (can’t say the same for Luka, ever) and he definitely deserved mvp, which btw may I remind you is a regular season award and has nothing to do with postseason success. Embiid arguably should’ve won mvp the year before as well. I’ll agree Luka’s the better player right now but Embiid was an absolute monster back then

Embiid still played awful PnR defense and barley played enough games to be eligible for MVP. The whole "Luka doesn't play defense" narrative is a lazy one

You clearly didn’t watch any sixers basketball during embiid’s mvp years lmao. Also it’s not a narrative it’s just a fact Luka is literally the guy you target when he plays defense on both teams he’s played for. He’s THE mark, embiid’s never been that bad defensively and he certainly wasn’t in his mvp year, when he was better than Luka. Btw did I mention he led the league in scoring?

Also who cares if he barely played enough games, if you’re a good player you’re a good player and he shouldn’t be punished for injuries and coaching decisions he can’t control, especially if he still managed to tough it out and play most of the season season

Defense is also an ability and Luka is way worse of a defender than Embiid was in those seasons. Also let’s not act like Luka was even a part of the 2022 and 2023 mvp convos those were between jokic and embiid lmao
