If it was purely luck it would be subject to Canadian gambling laws, they include something like this so they can legally say it is a game of skill and not a game of chance

Ah makes sense. I do believe it’s purely luck, as they specifically state beforehand that three canadian players will be chosen. Not sure how the law reads, but I would assume that verbiage along with the mathematical test would likely fall under the guidelines of “game of skill”
