That narrative was only a thing because people don’t understand modern basketball. They still think the best player on the team has to be taking 50 shots a game like Kobe and Jordan, and if your best player doesn’t take all the shots, it means they must be getting carried by someone else.

True. And while scoring is imperative, there’s a reason why Chris Paul has played for as many years as he has. Doing both is great but there’s so much value everywhere you don’t need to be everything all at once
