Granted this has been seen before and im not sure how widely before the discussions on DWade started but we all love him and can admit both sides of him so hopefully that happens with the other two with time

Idk why people are taking issue with the over all number. Sure there are games like the one Shai took more free throws than the other team but the problem isn’t them getting to the line. They’re gonna get the free throws the problem is one of them flops like magikarp hoping for a call and the other would rather argue with the ref about being fouled than play defense

Because nearly every 30 ppg scorer in NBA history averages 9-10 free throw attempts. You just don’t like high volume scorers if 9-10 is too much for you

For reference, the average fta for a 30 ppg scorer in NBA history is 10.0. Shai shoots a below average quantity of free throws for his scoring while averaging 1.1 above 30, and Luka is SLIGHTLY above average, but he averaged 33.5 ppg, which is a whole 3.5 above the 30.0 threshold. You simply don’t like the sport if you take issue with their free throw numbers.

Literally every high volume scorer in the NBA sells contact lol. It’s just twitter clips that make it seem like it’s a Shai thing. Luka does it MORE than Shai does. Also, this post was meant to be about how good of players they are, and I think it’s emblematic of why NBA discourse sucks that the discussion on who is better immediately devolved into bitching about free throws.
