writers decided. We all know this, and yet, when it comes time to talk through a players career we say “x MVPs and x DPOY” or whatever. The awards have no inherent value, they don’t make you a great player, being a great player helps you win awards. Like honestly I don’t care how many MVPs they won, talk about what they did to win it, talk about what they did to deserve it if they didn’t win it, talk about stats and on court impact
