It’s an anime series called Hypnosis Microphone… They released a movie recently which is Japan only so I thought I would never be able to see it but I ended up being able to travel to Japan for a year 😭❤️ It’s very unique (infodump where I’m going to sound insane incoming) bc the whole premise of the series is that men are oppressed but there is a Division Rap Battle that’s like a territory battle and they have microphones that turn words into weapons and they fr rap battle to determine who win

For the first two DRBs there were CDs you could buy to vote on who wins, but for this DRB you go to the movie and vote live in the movie theater to see who wins. There’s like 48 different combinations and 7 different ends for the movie bc there’s three rounds to this DRB. Oh also lore wise whoever wins this DRB gets a brainwashing device and rules all of Japan which is fucking insane LMFAO

Anyways the movie was super fun bc not only do you vote, you also cheer in the theater, so we were waving light sticks and doing hand gestures for every song 😭 The theater was completely full too which is INSANE bc this movie came out almost 4 months ago. Lowkey must bc one of the highest grossing anime movies of all time bc holy shit

I just checked, as of like a month or two ago they had made 10+ million dollars off this movie. Japan only. Jesus christttt
