Neurodivergent on Yik Yak | Ok dumb question but does anyone else have a hard time saying peoples names? Like my bf I feel so uncomfortable saying his name. Same with my last 2 bf. Even friends/family it’s just like awkward for me to say their name if they’re in the room.

I feel like a weirdo saying their names. It just makes me uncomfortable. I can say their name to like other people or when they aren’t around but it’s so weird to say it in their presence. Idk.

Yes I hate it. I never call people by their names. I also generally have a big struggle with remembering names and faces.

I'm so bad with names, I'm always second guessing if I even remember their name properly for acquaintances, and therefore hesitant to say it

Oh I know their names. I just feel super uncomfortable saying it. It goes for pretty much everyone in my life. People I’m less familiar with or care about I tend to find easier to say their names to their face but it’s still weird feeling.
