It’s really funny seeing people pretend to be professionals and get mad when they’re called out for it. 🤣

(No, I’m not referencing the study in the image that’s quoted— I’m talking about OP thinking their little meditations make the world better for everyone.)

The anti-medication rhetoric in that thread pmo so bad. Like stop acting like medication is a scam or a moral failing. Jesus

I keep seeing things like this occasionally in the chronic illness community and it irritates me so much. Like someone was trying to say they don’t diagnose anemia anymore. And I’m like… what? I work in medicine (I see the bloodwork) and there are ALOT of people diagnosed with anemia

they never claimed to be a professional. they’re sharing their experiences that helped them significantly. did they approach it in the best way? absolutely not. do they have good intentions? absolutely. empathy is important and your response lacks it entirely. you seem more ready to attack than hear someone out and look past their poor approach to see what they’re actually saying. which is that NS regulation helps people. which it absolutely does. you can’t prove peoples experiences wrong.

you’re so condescending i would argue your approach to the conversation was just as poor as theirs. except it seems to me like their intention was good and yours not so much.

your responses honestly prove their point imo. you need some NS regulation

Seriously!! There are so many avenues we know of (and many more we have yet to learn about!) in managing symptoms and addressing the causes. It’s not an overnight thing and sometimes people need more of the resources at once or a very niche one.
