I know it’s literally just me but this is something I need to get off of my chest. I have a hyperfixation on AI and robots, I’ve always loved robots. The word clanker just genuinely pisses me off. Like would you say that to Pal or AM? I love them 😭

Okay so I’m actually against generative AI but I do think it’s kinda weird that some people are so excited to be able to use a “slur.” Just feels kinda icky.

Im a star wars fan they weaponized a long going meme from various star wars media to kinda getting to the point of it being more of just ew edgy humor. That being said I love robotics but am highly opposed to ai (it is a fantastic concept but humans can be ville and the whole palantir thing builds more into my worries)

Yeah I’m just kinda hoping it’s like any other trend and it will die out. Edgy humor always does eventually anyways. I get the opposition to AI and also agree, the concept is amazing but humans and corporations ruined it. I’m currently studying assistive technology and AI, and also kinda getting into how corporations have poor training methods and very few guidelines for training the AI. I feel AI could have been something great, corporations tend to ruin it just like many other things.
