I genuinely hate eating with my hands, to the point I’ll use a fork/spoon for some handheld foods. I also don’t like to walk/stand and eat. I hate having my hands encumbered 😭

The autistic in me makes me not want to eat anything without utensils. The New Yorker in me says I should walk while I eat.

I eat with my hands but i wash them before and after- it bothers me when food falls off the fork or a handle is digging in my fingers

I sometimes eat salad with my hands, but for anything too saucy absolutely not, hate having moisture on my hands for too long. When I have crab legs I have to stop and clean my hands every 20 mins even if I’m not done eating yet

yes i do often at home and depending on the restaurant, chop sticks are a favorite of mine if i want to be socially acceptable, i just really hate the mouth feel of metal utensils

I’m Filipino so we learned how to eat w our hands but honestly, it’s so much easier to. I hate using utensils

Yeah, depends on the food and what the typical utensils are, like for some reason, my finger dexterity is horrible and I can’t manage to use chopsticks so I eat sushi by hand which is usually fine. I think just washing your hands and using sanitizer suffices, as you said, so many other cultures eat with their hands so it’s no biggie

Personally can’t stand the feeling of dirty hands but I don’t mind eating with my hands wearing gloves. Especially Indian food, it genuinely tastes better when you do.
