You should give them a headsup first that youre stressed and need some space, if youre talking to a neurodivergent person I think they will totally understand, couldnt say the name about normies though

Better late than never tbh— just respond when u can and let them know you’ve been really busy and stressed lately which is why you haven’t answered. That’s what I do and most people are pretty understanding and are just glad to hear from you.

1) let them know that this is a recurring behavior that is a response to stress 2) you're sorry you did that 3) once you're back, ask them to go hang out and make it as clear as possible that you love and adore them

Honestly, I have no fucking idea. I reach out to people all the time, and then when I dont, they dont either and boom I lose a possible connection. It seems like people just dont wanna be friends anymore. Id say fuck it and just hit them up, whats the worse that can happen?
