JUST A REMINDER that starting your day late is still better than not starting your day at all!! Starting your schoolwork or taking that shower at 1pm or 2pm is still an accomplishment, no matter the time

A follow up: it is also ok to have a different circadian rhythm than most people. It’s not something to be ashamed of if your natural sleep time is 4 am to 11 am

Not shaming anyone who’s having trouble, I’ve been having a lot of those days too. I’ve been using this thought as motivation to get moving and thought I should share it

No because whyyy does my brain just roll over and die when I get a late start. “Damn it’s 12pm, too late to get any work done because I’ve already wasted my whole day” like?????

“You didn’t get 8 hours of sleep, now I’ll harass you for it for no reason”

The guidance on quantity of sleep has been updated in the past five years, with a recommended range of 7-9 hours, with a strong suggestion to listen to your body about what the right amount is. When I’m happy and healthy, and letting my body pick my sleep schedule, it prefers 7 hours, 0400-1100.
