I have a slur for a vocal stim and I hate it because I’m not actually thinking about the meaning of the word when I say it and I don’t want anyone else to hear it. But I haven’t found a way to replace it because it’s almost subconscious

Try harder like actually. Not meant to be rude. Get real about the history of the word and the associations may genuinely get saying it to stop feeling as good.

Hey so a vocal stim is a CHOICE, unlike a tic. This is 100% up to you to fix. Do better.

Yeah um…no? I have vocal stims too but I’m 100% in control of NOT saying a slur….this isn’t a tic that is uncontrollable…

try coming up with something else that’s similarly stimulating. I understand what you mean, but it’s not worth saying something bad if you can find a suitable substitute
