Like they bully pufferfish until they puff up and excrete their venom into the water and then the dolphins have figured out how to ingest just enough that they don’t die but they still feel the high

They are insane animals and I don’t get why we romanticized them so much in the 2000s/2010s. What is the current generations animal obsession though? Is it like lizards? I feel like I’ve seen a lot of lizard/reptile based movies in recent years.

Lots of animals do that though. Butterflies purposely seek out fermented fruit to get drunk, some monkeys in the Caribbean drink leftover cocktails from tourists specifically to get wasted, reindeer get high on shrooms. If dolphins realize it feels good to get high off pufferfish venom, why wouldn’t they keep doing it? Like yeah they’re jerks, but they can’t comprehend that they’re hurting the pufferfish.

Yea they totally can. You underestimate the intelligence of the dolphin. They kill other fish and use their carcasses to jerk off too. They’re monsters
