Everyone talks about how women’s deodorant makes you smell like things and men’s makes you smell like a concept. Linda, women’s deodorant also makes me smell like a concept. THE CONCEPT IS BAD. IT DOESN’T FUCKING WORK.

I never smell like B.O & work a physical job so idk what people are using to still stink through their deodorant. Y’all know the 24 hour protection thing isn’t a guarantee & you’re still supposed to shower right?

Okay. Let me paint a picture for you. I am on three different medications. All three of them are known INDIVIDUALLY to lower a person’s heat tolerance. If I’m out in 70F + I start sweating SO much it’s disgusting. When people sweat a lot, they start to smell. I avoid being outside where I can, but sometimes it’s inevitable, hell even when indoors at my job I get warm and sweat a lot. I keep deodorant on me. Assuming people stink because they’re careless and sloppy can be insanely ableist 1/2

Especially given this is in a community for people who struggle with disabilities, many whom also struggle with physical disabilities. If this comment was at like an MTG tournament yeah I get it, they need to shower but this isn’t the case.

I’ll continue to treat people differently and avoid them like the plague if they literally smell like they’re rotting from it. Cry about it if u want.

I don’t think this is the right place for you, considering it’s to support individuals who already get treated differently by society. Do you even know what disability is. It ‘disables’ you. There are many reasons why someone neurodivergent might struggle with hygiene, including meds that give you hot flashes and night sweats. Something tells me you’re nose blind anyways 👎💩

I also work a physical job, I shower, I use the clinical strength 72 hr stuff after every shower (1-2 times EVERY DAY), and I still end up smelling like BO. Sometimes, and for some people, nothing is enough and nothing will ever be enough.

We’re not saying “go hang out with smelly people” we’re just saying- hey- maybe don’t be so quick to judge. Why are you being so defensive? Are you okay? Like genuinely?
