you just don’t have parasocial relationships with celebs and that means you’re normal

Neurodivergent tend to not make all socio-cognitive connections. So for death it’s not specific enough so if you’ve never met them or made physical connection with them or a genuine connection with said person, you may not feel emotional after one passes. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Feeling sad when a person dies is incredibly normal…

It’s also normal not to feel sad about someone you didn’t know. It doesn’t mean you like talk bad about people who did feel sad or that you can’t sympathize, you just don’t react that way.

you don’t have to be parasocial to feel empathetic about death, even if it’s someone you don’t know or weren’t particularly close to. i was devastated over cameron boyce’s death. i wasn’t obsessed with him but i grew up watching HIM grow up on tv.
