my default for any stranger comment is “Haha have a good one 😊”

smiling is a good response. not sure what I’d say in that situation either. maybe “I won’t!” in kinda a jokey way?

I didn’t think it was a bad response, but I was worried he might think I didn’t want him talking to me. I like when people make innocent jokes or comments, like he also told me to be safe and I yelled back “I will! Thank you!” I like that, but I’m just bad at thinking on the spot and I’m horrid at social interactions
