personal autistic pet peeve: when people refuse to admit to being wrong even after they’re confronted with evidence
idk it’s just not all that difficult to say “good point, thanks for the info” / “my bad, wasn’t aware of this part”
unfortunately accepting that one is wrong is emotional maturity and not everyone has that. i struggle with this a little lowkey bc it makes me feel embarrassment

Yeah apologies are free! And it actually makes you smarter if you can see and acknowledge your mistakes… 🤷♀️

My manager is guilty of this. When I provided evidence that proved wrong her claim about what she was trying to punish me for she threatened me and then put me on leave :)

damn I guess a ton of us are on the same page!!! good to know tbh, makes me feel a little less alien for wanting to hold myself & others to this standard

I’m a pretty insecure person myself so I understand that for some of us it has to be a learned skill. but I also find it way more embarrassing to ignore the other person’s correction / argument or get defensive & move goalposts when I could just be like “oops, got it”

Oh she lies about people all the time that challenged her poor decisions or abusive actions. I’m not surprised she felt threatened and went this route. Honestly I was wanting to leave anyways. At least I’m on paid leave for my 2 weeks instead of having to work.
