
Think of it this way: if a doc asks how much physical pain you have on an average day and you say “The normal amount” that SHOULD mean zero pain. I feel like this is the same for mental/emotional pain. Pain isn’t normal. It’s your body telling you something is wrong. But that doesn’t mean you or millions of other people don’t experience it frequently
So if you are experiencing mental/emotional pain then something is wrong and some kind of change needs to be made. That could mean therapy, medication, or looking at the quality of you friendships and getting better friends if they are doing more harm than good (which is a very good starting point in my opinion)
