If I plan on completing a 2 mile walk, I would look down and focus on the step in front of me instead of the finish line and I would just keep walking. Just focusing on the individual step. I’ll keep walking, and then at some point I’ll look up and realize that I’d passed the 2 mile mark a long time ago, and I’d no longer feel the need to stop at 2 miles
