Living in a city with a bigger neurodivergent population hasn’t been all that it’s cracked up to be. There has been so many conflicting access needs, and folks not getting along, and more experiences of a lack of apathy and conflict from folks :/

I fear population without proper infrastructural support would cause this

I need neurodivergent friends that are also emotionally immature

It’s just the vibe here. There are a lot of therapists that are neurodiverse that work with our community here.

Therapists alone are not infrastructure though, imo disability access (including neurodiversity) needs to be like. Top-down as the basis of every social system we currently have or need

Yeah wasn’t super clear what you meant by infrastructure in this case and was just answering around support. When it comes to neurodiversity support, our city and state in general actually has a higher number of services for neurodiverse folks. We get a lot of transplants from all over the country, and that unfortunately means that sometimes people just aren’t super kind or respectful to other autistic folks that have different access needs and cognitive abilities than differs from their own.

But hypothetically, even if there wasn’t enough support for neurodiverse folks, I don’t think that extra support would change people’s character around what I mentioned.
