education doesn’t have to be formal classrooms and schools!! you can do informal education at museums, zoos, parks, aquariums, historic sites, etc. like me!

yeah i did my internship and now im subbing, i like it fine but the system is doing a lot of shitty things that make it feel impossible to succeed and be happy. plus i’m trans so nobody is hiring lol

YAAAS GET EXCITED! i’m working at two nature center museums right now just to get by during my grad program & i get to be outside teaching field trips all the time!

AAAH I love that!! i’m in the Great Lakes region and i take kiddos out to the Sugarbush to tap maple trees for sap to make real maple syrup!! even kindergarteners get to learn how to identify a maple tree and why we tap trees in the late winter/early spring, and they learn how the Indigenous Americans would tap the tree with more natural materials (like a duck bill as a spile!!), cook the sap, and make maple SUGAR since it stored much better!
