I relate to this so much omg. I feel so bad when I do because I love that he’s willing to tell me about what’s going on or what he’s currently into and I just space out. It’s not that I’m not interested I just space out and I feel so bad.

I think it’s an issue of me multitasking/doing something while we talk so my attention goes into that? I’m scared there’s something wrong with me

Do you take any meds? Those could help, especially Adderall

It happens to me as well. Firstly, he needs to understand you intrinsically as a person. You’re not doing it on purpose and it’s childish for him to get upset because of how your brain works. However, I’d say that looking that person in the eye or watching their mouth and repeating each word in my head has been really helpful when trying to pay attention in conversations.

Nah. There ain’t nothing wrong with you. It just might mean you’re not as good at multitasking than you once thought

I would also like it to stop. So whenever we’re talking I just try to put everything down and pay attention and I ask questions to make sure I’m following along.

Honestly yeah I might have to start doing this. Usually my bf and I bond over video games together but when it’s a faster paced game most of my attention goes into that unfortunately

My therapist wanted me to get tested with adhd- her theory was that since the Zoloft lowered my anxiety I could potentially have adhd symptoms that were just masked by my anxiety for a while. Idk tho cause I have ocd and I feel like any adhd traits is js that :p

Being distracted by those is not much of a help but I get it. It’s hard.
