Oh my gosh I have such an aversion to “good morning” and “goodnight”!! I thought it was just me 😭 Instead of “goodnight” I tell my parents “bye” and it makes me feel like a bad person

i feel like those r things ppl dont really know what to say in response to so u always end up feeling awkward saying them at least thats how it feels in my mind

this makes so much sense, as well as those two things being such common phrases that thy feel trite and insincere that at least for me makes me averse to using them

I’ve internalized goodnight to mean bye, and good morning to mean hi. But you’re welcome still feels odd
