I’m not a woman but I’ve never been satisfied with my gender and I feel like I can’t be who I am while being a man but I also wish I could be who I am without changing my gender or pronouns.

this entire comment thread is so mutually respectful and well-articulated, omg. no awkward linguistic choices that indicate covertly regressive attitudes towards trans people Or towards gender-nonconforming cis people, and even the replies about the relationship between autism & transness are totally sensible and unassuming… gotta be one of the top 3 chillest groups on this app, we love to see it 💞

I identify as a cis woman but just don’t do any of the gender stuff. It’s never made much sense to me. I wear clothes made for women usually because I’m really short though

I can’t work in a female dominated field without being treated differently by the women around me. I can’t be too friendly, affectionate, or care about others without people doubting my genuineness. Oh and the next thing I’m going to mention is an autism thing in general, but people saying “he’s a bit odd” for no fucking reason.

It’s ok I feel you I tend to get more closed up and anxious around men because I feel like they’ll notice I’m acting like a woman correctly so I get being seen as odd!

I might do the same. Now when asked for pronouns I say he/they. This is probably why a lot of autistic people are nonbinary or trans. It’s because we can’t conform to normal societal expectations.

agender here, and yeah this is def the case for a lot of people. but, additionally, many autistic people can conform to societal expectations yet simply don’t want to, and are more willing to break out of the mold because of that
