anyone have tips on being more risky? it sounds stupid but i’ve really rejected so many amazing things in life because i’m terrified of failure. i want to have relationships and go on adventures and feel all the emotions but i don’t know where to start

i just watched The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and honestly, that was a good start for this exact feeling. Maybe it’ll help you answer some of those questions on how and where to start.

Bring a little sensory pouch in your bag wherever you go so that if the experience starts becoming overwhelming you have coping mechanisms and hopefully you can continue the experience. (I recommend sunglasses headphones and/or ear plugs, something pretty, something that smells good, something that’s a good texture like soft if you like that or a rock if you like hard and cool etc., and hand wipes)

One of the neurodivergent hacks I’m still working with (unmedicated generalized anxiety disorder here) is relabeling negative emotions to their positive counterparts for example, relabeling fear as anticipation, frustration as desire, or anxiety as excitement.
