She probably took it as a “schedule me more or else I will get another job” as opposed to “would it be possible to get more hours?/What do I need to do to get more hours? I need to bring in more income to afford the cost of living, and as much as I love working here I need to pay rent”…people tend to get defensive if the tone and wording isn’t perfect 💀
