One of my ocd compulsions is that we are not allowed to use the oven in my house but I’ve been doing erp and I made dinner in the oven outside of a therapy session!!!!!

Congrats, in the past my oven has made me nervous, but not to this point. I’m glad you can finally use it to make dinner, I hope you continue making progress in therapy

Thank you not to trauma dump or whatever but it’s bc it sets off the smoke detector in my apartment and I’m technically not on the lease so I don’t want the apartment complex to find out I live there bc then we’ll all be evicted and we can never rent anywhere ever again and setting off the smoke detector while I’m there draws attention to our apartment so it’s less abt the oven lol

That sounds pretty complicated, but from what I know about older smoke alarms, they use Infared light, so as long as the smoke isn’t thick enough to block that light inside the alarm, you’re safe. Try opening a window and having some fans going while the ovens on
