I fucking HATE INSURANCE. None of my psych meds are being covered anymore. All because my drs don’t feel it’s safe to prescribe 90-day supplies of 4 different meds. Why does insurance hate disabled people so much

Because it’s too large of a system. Just like all over standardized systems it treats people based on numbers.

Needs to be more individualized and more localized.

I’m just frustrated bc I was saying it was a safety issue and asking if there was a pre authorization or an appeal I could do and they were giving me zero help. They claimed I couldn’t file an appeal but when I look online it says that I can if it concerns my quality of care. So now I’m going to have to send a written complaint with letters from my providers.

I just find it wildly ironic that they completely covered 4 hospital stays in the past year but now they’re refusing to cover the meds that keep me out of the hospital

All bc buying in bulk is cheaper for them 🥲

Yep, and again the over standardization issue.

It’s why my view of healthcare is based in a more localized solution
