I went on Twitter once like six months ago and immediately regretted it because I immediately saw flaming transphobia that made me feel like a fucking disgusting freak (to put it lightly). So yea this doesn’t surprise me.

that checks out too, yeah… I mostly only follow other trans people on there so I’ve fortunately managed to avoid that part, I know a huge portion of the site at this point is straightup chud territory though

It’s honestly just as bad if not worse than 4chan atp. Cause at least on 4chan people want to stay anonymous. Twitter is the freaks who don’t even care if the insane shit they say is attached to their identity or not.

!!!! I’ve been saying word-for-word that the climate on 4chan has breached containment and spread out across the broader internet, hard agree. cause yeah, twitter is particularly nasty, but then also I notice that for instance youtube content is increasingly emulating the kiwifarms playbook
