I was able to find my partner by just getting involved in my special interest online & finding a community. only like 4 people ended up becoming great friends, including my partner, so no pressure on extensive socializing ofc. we were long distance for 2 years before he moved states to live with me. iโ€™m also almost 28 and just found the perfect match for my autism. you got plenty of time!! make a best friend BEFORE you bring in romance. ๐Ÿฅฐ

Honestly I think that the current culture surrounding dating isn't fit for neurodivergent people at all. The whole dating app, situationship, kinda thing I mean. I think specifically it lies in the act of going into something purely with the intent of dating and the stress that brings. I find that for myself, I've always been in romantic relationships with people I was initially friends with, then it just ended blooming into more. I suggest just being yourself around people, autism and all, and-

iโ€™ve met my partners through friends, at work, and through location based anonymous apps (whisper which doesnโ€™t exist anymore and yikyak when it was location based)
