one of the only foods at the dining hall i eat is soup but they have mushrooms and i try to take them out but i always end up missing one and now im paranoid with every chew ugh why does everything have to have mushrooms

Texture challenges are so interesting bc mushrooms are part of my special interest and one of my safest foods. Although criminis kinda suck

honestly it’s mostly just a texture thing lol. not sure what mushrooms i’ve had before i just don’t like the spongy/rubbery texture of them

Many of them have totally different textures! Most store mushrooms are actually the same species in different stages and theyre much slimier than a lot of other mushrooms. Some of them are meaty or crunchy or like noodles

Its hard to find some of the different texture ones without going ti like a farmers market. I pick most of mine lol
