Sorry this is a dumb question but has anyone tried non-stimulant adhd medication and has it helped you? I have epilepsy and I’m seeking a diagnosis but I don’t know if it’ll be worth the price of a diagnosis if medication won’t change anything

I tried straterra and guanfacine and they didn’t really help me (I’m on vyvanse now) but I know they work for some people and I didn’t have any side effects

I took intuniv. It helped some with emotional regulation but I didn’t notice anything else either when I was taking it or when I stopped. Non-stimulant medications do significantly help some people though so if you can afford it I think it’s worth a try.

I took Strattera for ADHD. it mainly helped my anxiety. It didn’t directly help me focus, but it did help eliminate some of the internal stressors that contributed to my distractibility and stress. It takes time to build up in your system, so you won’t feel benefits for a few weeks.
